CFH 5K Run Walk for Affordable Housing

Dumfries, Va., October 8 – CFH, Inc. a 42-year-old Northern Virginia nonprofit, has
announced its plans for the 4 th Annual CFH 5K Run-Walk for Affordable Housing. The 2021 CFH
5k Run-Walk for Affordable Housing, which will help to fund the group’s variety of housing-
based programs, will be a virtual 5k in which registrants can complete the course of their
choosing any time from November 2 – November 14. Interested participants can find more
information and register by October 26 at cfhva.org.

The organization’s only 2021 fundraiser is again in honor of the late Father Gerard Creedon,
who inspired a group of his parishioners to establish CFH in 1979 and guided the group to seek
out ways to assist the community until his passing in 2017. In addition to purchasing, adding
improvements and amenities and bringing programs for children and families to the East End
Mobile Home Park in Manassas, Va., CFH conducts a variety of programs related to security
deposit assistance, affordable rentals, life skills training, downpayment assistance and first-time
buying opportunities.

“We’ve made it easy and inexpensive for individuals and families all over Northern Virginia to
participate,” said CFH Executive Director George Davies. “So many people know that so many
others are struggling; they often want to help out but are looking for a step to take to do so.
This is an easy step to take to improve lives in your community,” he continued.

Based in Dumfries, Va., CFH has worked more than four decades to help individuals and families
along a path of self- sufficiency, providing assistance to individuals and families all along the
continuum of housing needs. The CFH board of directors represents a diverse group of
individuals who provide expertise in business, development, architecture, financial services and
real estate.
